Are you ready to hire a team in your business?

If there’s one thing I’ve heard over and over again from top-tier business coaches, it’s this: the path to scaling your business absolutely requires support.

But… when do you actually HIRE someone? When does the clarity come around making this big move in your business?

Here’s my take on this: If you have the cash flow now, even if your business is new, spending it on {the right kind of} support is a SOLID investment.

If you are BUSY BUSY BUSY and know you need help – then PLEASE hire help, your family, friends & body will thank you.

But… there’s a caveat to this.

Many business owners I’ve spoken to who have had a VA work for them in the past have said that hiring a VA didn’t work out for them because it felt like more work to train and give tasks than it was to just do the tasks themselves.

Part of that may be that they just didn’t find the right VA yet, and another (probably more likely) part is that their VA didn’t have the right guidance to do their job without having to ask multiple questions to clarify what needed to be done.

The latter comes from not having standard operating procedures in place that describe the workflows & systems that you use to run your business.

Unless you have a VA who can take a small amount of information and run with it – you’re going to find yourself having to explain things or spend a long time training your team.

All of that is FINE – but hiring a VA is meant to take work OFF your back – not add more!

Ask yourself – if you hired a Virtual Assistant today, could they look at the back end of your business and then immediately jump in to support you? Or would you have to explain everything to them (especially the parts of your workflows that aren’t written down and just live in your head.)

Ultimately, this is about getting the most out of your investment when you hire your team. Putting in the work NOW will ensure your new VA will be a supportive part of your team and not more work for you to manage.
